Dr. Fernando A. Laracuente, EdD, DNP (candidate), APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, NP-C has been a medical provider for the past 20 years. His experience includes both primary care practice and pediatrics. He loves being a Primary and Psychiatric Care Provider, where he believes that the first approach to managing disease is prevention! Dr. Laracuente received his doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. He holds a Master of Science in Nursing Practice from the Universidad del Turabo, South Florida Campus, and a Master of Science in Mental Health from Long Island University. Recently, he has attained a Post-Master's Graduate Certificate from the University of Cincinnati. His primary area of expertise is Family Practice and Psychiatry. Dr. Laracuente is currently an Autonomous APRN in the State of Florida with Full Signature Authority. He is also nationally certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) both as an FNP and PMHNP. He is also nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). He has also held various teaching positions at different universities including Nova Southeastern University, Miami-Dade College, Universidad del Turabo, and S. Florida Campus. He also assists in preparing future medical providers by precepting multiple students from different universities.
